Halloween Kitchen Litho inspired by Jasper Johns: Mind/Mirror
Teens are invited to make ​​“kitchen litho,” an alternative way of lithography using common at-home materials, such as tin foil and soda, with the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop. Learn the process, make your own plate and print artwork inspired by Jasper Johns: Mind/Mirror. The entire process is non-toxic and can be printed by hand.

Materials List:
 
Build a DIY Plate:
Tin foil
A piece of plexiglass or flat surface like plastic, metal, clip board, table or a water resistant surface
Tape

Drawing materials
Litho pencils, crayons sharpie, butter, soap or anything greasy
Brushes

Non-toxic Etching Process
Coca-Cola or Pepsi
Cooking oil
Corn syrup or pancake syrup (optional)
Baby powder or any kind of flour
Tray to etch plate 
Bowl or container for water
Paper towel

Use for printmaking:
Baren, large spoon or bone holder
2 dish sponges
Ink: etching ink or litho ink
Roller/brayer
Printmaking paper, handmade paper or any thin smooth paper
Newsprint or wax paper
Gloves
